Multiple turns = washer tap. Quarter turn = ceramic disc.

Isolation valve under sink: flathead screwdriver 90°.

·

Take old washer/cartridge to shop to match size.

·

Wrap spanner jaws with tape to avoid scratching chrome.

Step by step

Turn off water via isolation valve under sink

Open tap to drain remaining water

Remove handle: prise off cap, undo screw

Adjustable spanner to undo headgear nut

Lift headgear out — washer or cartridge at bottom

WASHER: prise off old, press on new

CERAMIC: remove cartridge, replace with matching new one

08

Reassemble. Hand-tighten headgear, snug with spanner

09

Turn water on. Check leaks. Enjoy silence.
